Wolf In Willow, Yellowstone National Park, WY

Photographer's Notes:
    This picture was taken in late May of 2008.
    This un-collared wolf was howling and
    trying to cross the road in the open vistas of
    Swan Lake Flats, just south of Mammoth
    Hot Springs.  Unknown to me if it is a male
    or female wolf, it was accompanied by
    another collared gray.  It was a striking wolf
    to me because of the broad barreled chest
    and beautiful color patterns. At the time of
    this image, I am not sure which pack this
    wolf originated from.
