Sand Dunes near Stovepipe Wells
Death Valley, California
January 2009

Photographer's Notes:
Near a small way station in Death Valley National
Park stands a large sand dune made up of quartz.
Roughly 7 miles long, in an east-west axis, the
dunes offer a variety of compositions for
photography.
This caught my eye as ancient whale bones,
exposed and bleached by the intense desert sun.
Obviously not, it is still fun to let your imagination
run wild!
