Pine Marten - Stare

Photographer's Notes:
    Not far from the Montana state border we
    watched on this day two territorial pine
    martens.  Usually a slightly curious creature,
    yet still pretty illusive - we watched two males
    chatter at each other and display some
    dominance for about 15 minutes!  This was
    the best viewing that I have ever had of any
    marten!  

    Usually found in field guides as an 'American
    Marten', it is a medium-sized creature that is
    part of the weasel family.
