stood this amazingly beautiful, brightly colored flower. While bushwhacking off trail on Yellowstone's northern park boundary I came across this beauty of a specimen! They grew among a dense canopy of, what I recall was, Lodgepole pine. Not much light penetrated down to this part of the forest... A bright beacon in a predominately green and brown setting.
