Trumpeter Swans, near Fishing Bridge in Yellowstone Nat'l Park, Wyoming
Coyotes recently killed one of the swan signets and the rest of the group was
obviously agitated as 5 other coyotes tempted to take another swan for breakfast.
Trumpeter swans are year round residents to Yellowstone, but it is during winter
when a few hundred can be found feeding on aquatic plants on the Madison,
Firehole and Yellowstone Rivers.
