Image Title: Great Gray Owl - Scratch, Yellowstone N.P., Mont. Photographer's Notes: On a back country trail in Yellowstone National Park, I happened upon a young Great Gray Owl. This was a fledgling, but most likely not roaming far from it's nest site. It will grow to be the largest, but not heaviest owl in North America. It is the most diurnal (out by daylight) owl, which is why it can be easier to find hunting small rodents. This image is currently available in multiple sizes.
