Great Gray Owl Back, Yellowstone Nat'l Park
One a backcountry trail in Yellowstone National
Park, I witnessed an adult Great Gray owl catch its
prey and feed it to two of its young. From a
distance, with the aid of a telephoto lens I was able
to watch the interactions for a few hours.
This was one of the two owlets that stretched its
wing and leg while waiting for its parent to return to
its perch with food (mouse, vole, etc.)
An amazing moment was had connecting with the
natural wonders of our incredible world.
