| Image Title: Grizzly Bear Stare, Yellowstone N.P., WY Photographer's Notes:
Mary Bay on the north shore of Yellowstone Lake. He was estimated to be about 400 lbs., a good size bear for this time of year. An opportunistic feeder, a grizzly is normally found in autumn at higher elevations. Due to a poor crop of whitebark pine nuts (fall 2008), this bear choose to tolerate humans and feed on a few roadside killed deer. This excellent food source will help him to survive his time in the den. This image is currently available in multiple sizes.
